About FixSCC INIT
Opcode Systems
9/18/89
Most people will not need this INIT. It is unnecessary on more than 99% of all Macintoshes.
A certain few Macintoshes, however, mostly newer models, do exhibit a strange symptom when starting almost any MIDI software (including Apple's MIDI Manager): the computer begins sending a steady stream of random MIDI data on each serial port as soon as the program configures the port for MIDI.
At this point, this appears to be a hardware problem which can be corrected by software (this INIT).
To install the INIT, simply drag it into your System Folder and restart your computer. MIDI programs should work properly if this INIT is in the System Folder when the computer is started.
